Pons.ai operates within the Hong Kong government-funded Science Park and runs a software called "AI photo booth," which can generate AI-designed personalized avatars for participants in corporate events. The company's founder and CEO, Kelvin Tang, stated in an interview that over the past year, the company has provided services for 85 corporate events globally, with nearly $500,000 in revenue for this fiscal year, and plans to double its revenue next year.

The AI photo booth platform of Pons.ai is built on several large image models, including Stable Diffusion, and can generate digital avatars in specific styles based on the requirements of corporate clients. Their engineers fine-tune the results and offer services to print the avatars on various products.

Pons.ai is one of many companies developing generative AI applications to seize opportunities arising from the rapid development of large models. Founded in 2021, this Hong Kong startup initially operated as a physical art and non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace but pivoted to the AI sector last year. Tang mentioned that the company's goal is to ultimately become a leading supplier of personalized products and gifts designed with generative AI.
