At the 2025 CES exhibition, smart ring manufacturer Circular officially announced the launch of its next-generation product — the Circular Ring2. This ring not only features electrocardiogram (ECG) capabilities but also includes FDA-approved atrial fibrillation (AFib) detection, aimed at helping users monitor their heart health in real-time. This wearable device is expected to be available in February or March, priced at $380.

The ECG feature of the Circular Ring2 is combined with advanced PPG (photoplethysmography) sensors, enabling it to record cardiac electrical activity through a single-lead ECG method. The PPG sensor works by shining light onto the skin to measure blood flow changes, providing users with accurate heart health data.
Compared to its predecessor, the Ring2 has undergone several upgrades, with the most significant improvement being the enhanced battery life, which the company promises can last up to 8 days. Additionally, the new ring is equipped with improved sensors to effectively track key health metrics such as sleep, and the accompanying app has been redesigned to offer a smoother and more intuitive user experience.
The launch of this ring marks Circular's entry into the competitive landscape, after three years of rivalry with competitors like Oura and Ultrahuman, finally introducing a smart ring with enhanced features. Circular's CEO Amaury Kosman stated at the launch event: “With the Circular Ring2, we are redefining the concept of smart rings — combining advanced health technology with timeless design and unparalleled durability. This is not just a wearable device; it is a statement product that empowers our users to take control of their health while maintaining a sense of style.”
The Ring2 is available in four color options: gold, silver, black, and rose gold. Users can also access a digital ring sizing feature via their smartphones to accurately select the right size before ordering. The new ring will be launched in multiple countries and regions, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and France, further expanding its market influence.
