With the continuous advancement of robotic vacuum technology, we have finally welcomed a new breakthrough—the Roborock Saros Z70, which can extend claw-like arms to assist in cleaning. This robotic vacuum will be showcased at CES 2025, and its innovative design is sure to set a standard for future home cleaning.

The unique feature of the Saros Z70 is its mechanical arm, named "OmniGrip," which can extend and rotate to pick up small items or debris from the floor and move them to a designated area. This robotic vacuum not only performs regular cleaning tasks but also records and recognizes pick-up items. After completing the initial cleaning, it returns to collect these items and take them away. If needed, users can also manually control the mechanical arm through a mobile app for easy operation.

It is worth mentioning that the Saros Z70's mechanical arm is equipped with a built-in camera, which helps the robot more accurately pick up items, providing a highly interactive cleaning experience. However, the arm has a limited weight capacity, able to pick up items no heavier than 300 grams. During a private demonstration, the Saros Z70 attempted to pick up a rolled-up pair of socks, but the results were not satisfactory, even encountering a few reset issues. Nevertheless, Roborock stated that the demonstration used an outdated software version, and future updates will enhance the arm's performance and accuracy.

In addition to picking up small items, the Saros Z70 still includes all the basic features of a high-end robotic vacuum, such as floor cleaning, mopping, and corner cleaning. It also supports integration with smart home platforms like Apple Home, Google Home, and Amazon Alexa, further enhancing the user experience.

The Roborock Saros Z70 is set to be officially launched later this year, with specific pricing yet to be announced. Although the current demonstration has some areas for improvement, as technology continues to advance, this robotic vacuum is poised to bring a more intelligent and efficient future to home cleaning.
