Recently, Transsion Holdings has partnered with Alibaba Cloud to integrate the Tongyi Qianwen large model into the AI smartphone PHANTOM V Fold2, launched under Transsion's technology brand TECNO, successfully creating a deeply localized "practical AI".
This smartphone features a dedicated AI button that allows users to invoke the large model with a single click, enabling smooth multi-turn AI conversations even in offline environments, as well as functions like document and call summaries. Transsion and Alibaba Cloud have made significant technological innovations on this phone based on MediaTek chips, collaborating on multiple dimensions including model slimming, toolchain optimization, inference optimization, and memory optimization.
With the efficient GPU acceleration capabilities of Alibaba's latest open-source MNN-LLM large model inference engine, the large model can truly be "embedded" into the smartphone. In March of this year, MediaTek, the world's largest smartphone chip manufacturer, successfully deployed the Tongyi Qianwen large model on flagship chips like the Dimensity 9300.
In recent years, Transsion has accelerated its layout in edge-side AI technology, exploring large models, interoperability technologies, image AIGC technologies, and small language AI voice technologies. Transsion aims to deepen and refine the proprietary characteristics of terminal AI functionalities to promote the deep integration of AI with local lifestyle applications. In the future, Alibaba Cloud will also conduct in-depth exploration with Transsion on the implementation of large models on terminals, deploying more models on Alibaba Cloud's network to provide personalized and intelligent experiences for global users.
