According to 36Kr, "Dream Island," a subsidiary of China Literature Group, has officially announced its independent operations. This AI-based virtual interactive entertainment platform aims to provide an immersive companionship experience for female users. Currently, Dream Island has completed a new round of financing, raising over $10 million, with investors including SenseTime Guoxiang Fund and other strategic investors from China Literature Group.
It is reported that "Dream Island" was initially incubated by the female-oriented online literature platform, Xiaoxiang Academy, under China Literature Group. Since opening for testing in August 2023, the platform has attracted nearly five million registered users, 80% of whom are young women. Users can create their own "dream partner" and interact with "dream partners" created by other users. Through precise matching, users can enhance intimacy with their favorite "dream partners" and experience various interactions such as chatting, calling, engaging in storylines, and sharing in social circles.
The user revenue for Dream Island has nearly covered the model costs, demonstrating its strong commercial potential. Additionally, to enhance content experience, Dream Island has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China Literature Group. China Literature Group will provide a wealth of online literature copyrights and licensed content to support the training of its virtual IP character models.
