The showcased "Ready Engage" is Harman's latest emotional intelligence AI system, featuring a virtual character named Luna, integrated with the voice assistant platform from Cerence AI based in Massachusetts. Luna not only enhances the capabilities of Harman's other AI solutions but also personalizes interactions through friendly voice and visual effects, helping passengers establish a natural connection with technology.

Additionally, Luna will be integrated with Harman's Ready Vision product, which includes the highly acclaimed QVUE windshield display, providing immersive augmented reality features such as dynamic street visualization and a transparent view of the front of the vehicle. Harman states that Ready Engage will offer fully customizable solutions for automotive manufacturer clients.

This technology is supported by Harman's Ready Upgrade cockpit domain controller and central computing unit (CCU) platform, referred to as the company's "smart brain," which drives various experiences within the vehicle. Harman claims that Ready Upgrade significantly shortens development cycles and reduces costs by providing turnkey solutions and system updates every three months.

Moreover, Harman has collaborated with South Korea's HL Klemove to launch a CCU platform that integrates Ready Upgrade with its secondary driver assistance software stack. The two companies are also developing a more advanced CCU platform to integrate the latest cockpit features and autonomous driving technologies, helping automotive manufacturers accelerate their market launch speed.

Harman's Chief Technology Officer, Armin Prommersberger, stated: "Harman is pioneering the next frontier of automotive technology by translating user states and contextual understanding to create truly contextually relevant in-car experiences." He added that Harman's portfolio of intelligent solutions is the most comprehensive in the industry, enabling original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to offer differentiated and deeper customer interactions.

At CES, Harman also announced a collaboration with Canadian smart traffic solutions expert Miovision to launch a new vehicle-to-network software service solution called Ready Aware, as well as the Ready Connect 5G in-vehicle communication control unit developed in partnership with Qualcomm.
