Under the influence of Elon Musk's artificial intelligence company xAI, the Grok chatbot has finally launched an independent iOS application. This news has attracted widespread attention, as Grok was previously only available to users on the social platform X. Now, this app is being tested in several countries, including the United States, Australia, and India, allowing more users to experience its powerful features.
Grok not only can access real-time data from the web and X but also boasts a range of powerful generative AI features. Users can utilize it for text rewriting, summarizing long paragraphs, interactive Q&A, and generating images based on text prompts, among other functions. Grok aims to be an honest, practical, and curious AI assistant designed to help users answer questions, generate captivating images, and gain deeper insights into the world by uploading pictures.
In addition to the iOS application, xAI is also preparing a dedicated website, Grok.com, with plans to promote the chatbot on web platforms. Although the website currently displays "coming soon," it indicates that Grok will be more widely available to all users in the future.
It is worth noting that Grok was previously only available to paid users on the X platform, until the company recently began testing a free version and rolled it out to all users earlier this month. xAI has stated that Grok's image generation model excels in "photorealistic rendering" and does not have significant limitations in its image generation capabilities, allowing users to create images using photos of public figures and copyrighted materials, providing greater creative freedom.
