Recently, Google upgraded Gmail by introducing a new "Insert" button for Android users, aimed at simplifying the process of composing emails with Gemini AI. Back in August last year, Google launched the Gemini feature, allowing users to summarize emails, generate replies, or modify existing drafts. While this feature is indeed convenient, there have been some challenges in practical use, especially on mobile devices, where users had to manually copy and paste the content generated by Gemini, which was not a smooth process.

To improve this experience, Google added the "Insert" button in the Android version of Gmail. Users can simply tap this button, and the reply content generated by Gemini will automatically be inserted into the reply window, allowing users to edit it further. This small change will significantly enhance the convenience of using Gemini.

The new "Insert" button is located in the bottom right corner of the interface, alongside the "Like" and "Dislike" buttons. After selecting the reply content from Gemini, users just need to click to insert it into the reply box, and once ready, they can send it directly. This new feature was first discovered last December and is now being widely rolled out. If you haven't seen this new button yet, you may soon find it on your device.

Additionally, it's worth mentioning that Gemini is not limited to generating replies. Users can also utilize it to find information from Google Drive, quickly search for specific types of emails (such as "show only unread emails from the past five days" or "emails sent to Chris last week"), retrieve information about Google Calendar events, and even summarize entire email threads or create events in Google Calendar. These features greatly enhance the convenience for users in their daily work.

Key Points:

🌟 The new "Insert" button in Gmail makes it easier for users to use Gemini to generate email replies.

📧 Users can directly insert content generated by Gemini into the reply window using the "Insert" button, eliminating the hassle of copying and pasting.

🗂️ Gemini not only generates email replies but also retrieves information from Google Drive, searches for emails, and creates calendar events, offering a variety of functions.
