Recently, the tech platform Gloo announced the acquisition of Faith Assistant (formerly known as Bible Chat), an AI-powered chatbot designed to help churches and faith communities engage more deeply with their members. Faith Assistant can be trained on the church's own content, ensuring that the AI assistant's responses align with its beliefs and mission. Gloo is committed to serving a variety of organizations, including churches, support agencies, publishers, seminaries, and homeschooling groups.
Gloo's Chief AI Officer, Steele Billings, stated, "We have always admired the vision and innovation of Faith Assistant, especially its outstanding performance during the first Gloo AI Hackathon. Faith Assistant allows churches to take control of their content – they decide what to train the model on and where to deploy it, which perfectly aligns with our mission to provide trustworthy AI tools for redemptive purposes."

Chase Cappo, co-founder of Faith Assistant, also shared their vision: "The faith ecosystem is incredibly diverse, encompassing roles such as pastors, professors, administrators, and missionaries. Our AI can help these organizations interact with people around the clock, allowing them to engage more deeply in their lives." Their AI model has already been successfully applied in various organizations, including the Luis Palau Association, Concordia Church, Christian Post, and KCBI radio station in Texas.
Following this acquisition, Faith Assistant will launch a free version based on Gloo's Kingdom-Aligned Large Language Model (KALLM), allowing church leaders to create their own AI assistants trained on their sermons and doctrines. For churches that need more advanced features, Gloo + membership offers richer services. Additionally, Gloo provides fully customized AI models for large organizations and publishers, helping them transform content into interactive dialogues.
Emily Haring Thevarajoo, Digital Content Director at KCBI radio, commented on Faith Assistant: "This platform enables us to provide answers and support around the clock, meaning we can serve our audience when they need us. Its analytical capabilities also help us better understand the challenges faced by the community."
Headquartered in Boulder, Colorado, Gloo is dedicated to connecting the Christian faith ecosystem, fostering trustful communication between organizations and individuals, and ensuring they can collaborate confidently to help their communities thrive.
