On February 18, Dianping released the "2024 Review Transparency Report," which reveals for the first time the platform's review auditing mechanisms and governance achievements. The report indicates that in 2024, the platform handled over 20 million violations through a multi-layered review system combining "AI + manual" audits, penalized more than 60,000 violating merchants, and intercepted over 1.56 million instances of "negative review harassment."
Additionally, to address issues such as fake reviews and black-market order manipulation, the platform has established four layers of security, including protective technology against black-market activities, AI auditing composed of hundreds of risk control models, a manual review team, and a complaint review mechanism to compensate for the limitations of algorithms in recognizing subjective evaluations.
In response to the strongly reported issue of "negative review harassment," Dianping has implemented a multi-faceted approach involving algorithmic identification, user information protection, and merchant penalties. Throughout the year, it warned over 30,000 merchants, penalized 13,500 violating merchants, and concealed sensitive user information to reduce harassment risks. The platform has also collaborated with merchants to promote "anti-review competition," encouraging service quality over review manipulation, and established a dedicated "Merchant Governance Team" to optimize cooperation mechanisms.
A relevant person from Dianping stated that the authenticity of reviews is the core of the platform's ecosystem. In the future, they will continue to enhance their technological interception capabilities, strictly control false content and harassment behaviors, and invest more resources to ensure the fair rights of users and merchants.
