Recently, xAI's latest artificial intelligence model, Grok3, has quickly risen to the top of the US App Store, becoming a hot topic of discussion among users. Behind this achievement, in addition to Grok3's powerful capabilities, are the outstanding contributions of two Chinese scholars. They are Assistant Professor Jimmy Ba from the University of Toronto and co-founder Tony Wu from xAI. Notably, Tony Wu is not only the only member of the team born in the 1990s but also has an impressive academic background and development experience, having participated in the core development of AlphaGeometry and AlphaStar.

At the recently concluded launch event, Grok3 showcased its exceptional abilities in reasoning, mathematics, coding, and other fields. xAI's official blog referred to it as "the AI that ushers in the era of reasoning agents." The model was trained on xAI's Colossus supercomputing cluster, which has computational power ten times that of the current leading models. Through large-scale reinforcement learning, Grok3 demonstrates astonishing reasoning capabilities when tackling complex problems, allowing for deep thinking and error correction.

In several benchmark tests, Grok3 achieved remarkable results. For example, in the 2025 American Mathematics Competitions, its accuracy reached 93.3%; in code generation tests, its success rate was as high as 79.4%. Even more exciting is that Grok3's reasoning mode is not only open to users but also clearly displays its thought process. This transparency allows users to understand the AI's reasoning logic while obtaining the final answer.

In practical applications, Grok3 has been tasked with several interesting projects, such as creating a hybrid game that combines classic game elements using pygame, and generating ASCII art of Frank Lloyd Wright-style houses. These tasks not only showcase Grok3's creativity and technical capabilities but also reflect its outstanding performance in visual effects and code implementation.

Looking ahead, xAI plans to delve deeper into reasoning capabilities and will introduce more features to further advance the development and application of AI technology.
