Recently, a netizen revealed on social media that Tencent's intelligent assistant, "Yuanbao," provided answers containing suspected advertisements while using DeepSeek-R1, raising concerns among many users. In response, Zhang Jun, Tencent's Public Relations Director, commented that this shouldn't theoretically happen and that the technical team is investigating.
Zhang Jun explained that the issue might stem from the answer referencing content from the WeChat Official Account "58到家 家政保洁保姆月嫂搬家" (58 Home Service: Housekeeping, Cleaning, Nanny, Monthly Nurse, Moving), which may have been obtained through online searches. Having received user feedback, Zhang Jun stated that they will communicate with the technical team to quickly optimize and address similar issues.
