Amazon announces the launch of its new intelligent assistant, Alexa+, an upgraded digital assistant incorporating generative AI technology. This enhancement results in more natural and intelligent conversations. Alexa+ not only remembers user preferences but also boasts powerful cross-platform capabilities, making everyday tasks easier and more convenient.
Alexa+ will be available for early access in the US next month. It's free for Amazon Prime members, while non-members will pay $19.99. Users can access Alexa+ through a new mobile app (available for Android and iOS) and the web client at Alexa.com. Hardware support is currently limited to the Echo Show series, including 8, 10, 15, and 21-inch models.

Alexa+ also features natural language search, allowing users to find specific photos or videos using descriptions. Additionally, Alexa+ offers a dedicated children's experience with restrictions on certain activities to ensure safety.
New features also include visual recognition capabilities. Alexa+ can identify ingredients via camera and provide corresponding recipes or order the necessary ingredients. This makes daily life more convenient; users simply speak, and Alexa+ automatically executes multi-step actions.
