Today, Ele.me officially launched an AI algorithm competition focusing on local life services. The goal is to explore how cutting-edge technology can drive practical application innovation and improve efficiency and user experience in the life services industry.

This competition features three tracks: Smart Elderly Care, Smart Rider, and Smart Business Efficiency. Each track will select five winning teams to share a total prize pool of 300,000 RMB. The first prize is 50,000 RMB, the second prize is 30,000 RMB, the third prize is 10,000 RMB, and there are two consolation prizes of 5,000 RMB each.

The Smart Elderly Care track focuses on a voice interaction system using the Tmall Genie ecosystem to accurately identify the ordering intentions of the elderly; the Smart Rider track focuses on the identification and risk assessment of rider-submitted "fire hazard snapshots"; and the Smart Business Efficiency track aims to build an intelligent marketing model to predict interactive conversions and design intelligent solutions.

This competition is open to full-time undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students (including 2025 graduates) from universities across China (including Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan). Registration is open from March 7th, 2025, 12:00 PM to May 16th, 2025, 12:00 PM. The preliminary round will begin on April 7th, the semi-final round will be held from May 20th to June 15th, and the final presentation and award ceremony will be held on June 16th and 17th, respectively.

Ele.me stated that participants' innovative designs will have the opportunity to be transformed into real-world applications, allowing more people to directly benefit from the convenience brought by AI.
