OnePlus 13 has received a major system update to ColorOS 15.0.0.701. This update, approximately 1.33GB in size, includes numerous optimizations and bug fixes, and most notably, introduces the industry's first AIGC synthetic speech recognition feature, enhancing user security and convenience.
This update significantly improves desktop functionality. Users can now easily adjust folder sizes to 1x2 or 2x1 via drag-and-drop. Furthermore, with the four-column desktop layout, the dock can now accommodate up to five apps, making phone operation more flexible and convenient. The smoothness of animations in the notification and control center has also been optimized for a more fluid user experience.
In terms of security and privacy, the newly added AIGC synthetic speech recognition feature intelligently identifies whether the caller's voice has been AI-synthesized or altered, significantly reducing the risk of online call scams. Additionally, a privacy center module has been added to Phone Manager, allowing for regular detection of excessive permission authorizations and enabling users to easily revoke unused permissions. Notably, the system will proactively issue a reminder if an app continuously accesses location information in the background for three consecutive days, protecting user privacy.
Regarding network communication, the WLAN connection experience has also been optimized, particularly for smoother performance during Douyin live streams and WeChat video calls. A new smart in-car screen mirroring feature allows users to mirror all phone apps to their car's screen, providing greater convenience for drivers.
Since its initial launch last November, the OnePlus 13 has received widespread acclaim for its powerful configuration, including the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform, the industry-first second-generation 2K AMOLED display, and a 6000mAh battery. This update will undoubtedly further enhance the phone's appeal.
