Faraday Future (FF) recently held its first FF Open AI Day at its Los Angeles headquarters, showcasing its AI strategy, product, and technology roadmap. At the event, FF announced the establishment of Future AIHER Inc., the world's first AI hybrid extended-range electric drive system company. This wholly-owned subsidiary will focus on the design and development of super AI hybrid and super AI range-extending systems, providing comprehensive power solutions for extended-range electric vehicles (EREVs).
The super AI hybrid (AIHER) technology is described as an AI-driven fusion of "range-extending + hybrid" and "strong range-extending, weak hybrid" technologies. The event was presented by FF founder and Chief Product and User Ecosystem Officer, Jia Yueting, and FX Global CEO, Max Ma. It also included sessions on key AI technologies, challenges in the autonomous driving industry, and AI talent recruitment.
FF detailed its AI strategy, centered on full-vehicle AI integration to create a self-developed and open-integrated AI ecosystem. This strategy focuses on four key areas: customized user experiences, extreme AI computing performance, open-source co-creation, and open win-win collaboration. The company's AI product development plan is divided into four phases: from large model integration and basic voice assistants, to multimodal interaction, then to building an AIOS platform and opening APIs, and finally continuously optimizing models and expanding commercial applications.
In the future, FF plans to accelerate the launch of three core AI products: the super AI hybrid system, the AI cockpit intelligent agent, and the open-source end-to-end large model aiDriving, which will be applied to future FX mass-production models.
