Chongqing's First Social Welfare Institute, in collaboration with the Chongqing Ma Shang Technology Development Foundation, has launched the nation's first large-model AI-powered elderly care robot. Officially deployed on March 10th, this marks a significant step forward for Chongqing in smart elderly care and support services for vulnerable groups, ushering in a new era of "human-machine collaboration."

This care robot integrates cutting-edge technologies including artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and AI psychology, creating a comprehensive service system encompassing five modules and ten functions. These modules cover intelligent emotional companionship, digital literacy enhancement, health and safety protection, entertainment and leisure services, and daily life assistance, aiming to meet the diverse needs of the elderly.

In terms of emotional companionship, the robot utilizes a multimodal emotional large model, employing facial recognition, emotion recognition, and speech recognition technologies to keenly perceive the psychological state and personality traits of the elderly. It not only provides companionship and psychological counseling but also offers unique features such as two-way video calls with children and cloned digital family member companionship to alleviate loneliness and provide comfort.

For digital literacy enhancement, the robot provides personalized digital skills training, guiding seniors to learn practical skills such as online browsing, online shopping, and remote medical consultations, helping them bridge the digital divide and integrate into modern society.

Regarding health and safety protection, the robot can continuously monitor the elderly's psychological state and emotional changes, promptly predicting psychological crises and self-harm risks, and sending alerts to guardians. It also monitors vital signs such as heart rate and respiration in real-time, ensuring the physical and mental well-being of the elderly.

In entertainment and leisure, the robot is developing cognitive training mini-games and social training coaching functions to help the elderly maintain brain activity, improve social skills, and enrich their cultural lives.

In terms of daily life assistance, the robot integrates high-quality online and offline resources to build a smart service ecosystem, providing "six-assistance" services including meal assistance, cleaning assistance, emergency assistance, medical assistance, mobility assistance, and bathing assistance, comprehensively meeting the daily needs of the elderly and improving their quality of life.
