Recently, Richtech Robotics, a manufacturer of AI-powered service robots, opened a new restaurant, "One Kitchen," inside a Walmart supermarket in Peachtree City, Georgia. The restaurant features robot service for coffee, milk tea, and fruit tea, powered by Nvidia AI technology. Operated in partnership with Ghost Kitchens America, the robot, Scorpion, interacts with customers, monitors the environment, and prepares drinks.

Meanwhile, Richtech's humanoid robot, Adam, is serving coffee and desserts to customers at a restaurant in Las Vegas. Adam works at "Clouffee and Tea," collaborating with human staff who handle snacks or bottled drinks that Adam cannot prepare. Staff are readily available to assist customers interacting with Adam.

Richtech Robotics President Matt Casella stated that the demand for AI service robots in the food service industry is rapidly growing, driven by the need to improve operational efficiency and deliver unique customer experiences. He noted that the "One Kitchen" restaurant in Peachtree City is expected to achieve stable revenue streams, strong cash flow, and improved profitability.

To further advance robotics research, Richtech has launched an accelerator program, providing US universities with development frameworks and access to the company's robotic systems to support robotics research. Participating universities will gain access to Richtech's autonomous mobile robots and robotic arm platforms, all powered by Nvidia, including machine vision and voice interaction modules.

The goal of this accelerator program is to help the manufacturing, healthcare, and service industries leverage AI robotics technology to address labor shortages. Columbia University, one of the first participants, plans to focus its research on natural language processing.

Beyond its first "Clouffee and Tea" location in Las Vegas, Richtech plans to expand to other areas. Currently, Richtech's automated restaurant business has expanded to over 20 Walmart stores across Arizona, Colorado, Texas, and Georgia. The Adam robot provides ordering and payment services to customers through an integrated touchscreen ordering system. Furthermore, Richtech utilizes its AI cloud platform to analyze operational workflows in restaurants, hotels, and hospitals to optimize service efficiency.
