In the field of artificial intelligence, Kuaishou's Keling AI is steadily emerging as a dark horse in video generation applications. According to the latest earnings call, Kuaishou's founder and CEO Cheng Yixiao revealed that since its launch in June last year, Keling AI has generated over 100 million yuan in revenue, making it the largest commercially successful video generation AI application in China. Keling AI has secured a strong position in the fiercely competitive AI market thanks to its powerful features and early market entry.
Cheng Yixiao emphasized that with the continuous advancement of AI technology, the market will experience cyclical fluctuations. Kuaishou chooses to leverage AI technology to upgrade its existing business to achieve a virtuous cycle of R&D and revenue. This approach has fueled the rapid development of Keling AI. To date, the platform has undergone over 20 version iterations, with the latest version, Keling 1.6, showing significant improvements in semantic understanding, visual aesthetics, and dynamic quality, resulting in a nearly 200% improvement in overall performance compared to the previous version.
In terms of commercialization, Keling AI's revenue primarily comes from C-end subscription services, B-end API services, and customized solutions. Since launching its independent app in the fourth quarter of last year, the product has established partnerships with thousands of companies, including Xiaomi and Amazon Web Services. Kuaishou aims to make Keling AI the world's top-grossing video generation AI application.
Beyond video generation, Kuaishou's AI strategy also includes the language model "Kuayi" and the recommendation model architecture "ACT" to enhance content understanding and recommendation capabilities. In March this year, Kuaishou internally tested DeepSeek-R1, exploring the commercial potential of search scenarios. Despite challenges in the advertising market, Kuaishou still achieved 57.1% growth in AI-driven online marketing services, and expects online marketing revenue to reach 72.4 billion yuan in 2024.
Cheng Yixiao revealed that over the next three years, Kuaishou will increase capital expenditure and R&D investment, using Keling AI to transform existing businesses and explore new areas of AI video content production. Through continuous technological innovation and accumulation, Kuaishou has established a significant technological barrier in video data processing, making the rise of Keling AI inevitable.
In the international market, Keling AI competes with other leading players such as MiniMax's Hailu AI and ByteDance's Jiemeng AI. Keling AI's overseas user base is also rapidly growing, indicating that its technology and product have become a popular choice for global content creators.
