Renowned game developer John Carmack believes that Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) is likely to be demonstrated to the public around 2030. His AGI startup, Keen, has hired Richard Sutton, the Chief Scientific Advisor of the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research, who is known as the "Father of Reinforcement Learning." Despite the limited size of their team, they are confident in the success of AGI and believe that significant progress will be made within the next few years. Carmack is convinced that there are six to eight years left before AGI is showcased to the public.
