Just now, Tencent's AI assistant, "Yuanbao," officially joined WeChat. Users can now search for "Yuanbao" in the WeChat search bar or scan a QR code to add it to their contact list and start a conversation.
Yuanbao AI is the smart assistant of the Tencent Yuanbao app, integrated into WeChat. It is powered by the HunYuan and DeepSeek dual-engine system and seamlessly integrates with the WeChat ecosystem.
Powered by Tencent's HunYuan large language model and DeepSeek, Yuanbao supports chatting and answering questions. Appearing as a contact in the WeChat address book, it displays "Typing..." during conversations and supports pinning, but cannot be starred or added to the phone's home screen.
Furthermore, when generating some content, it provides links to the Yuanbao app for further inquiries. It supports text and voice message input but doesn't support setting chat backgrounds, voice/video calls, or adding to group chats. It can automatically interpret forwarded WeChat articles, parse files up to 100MB, and has image recognition and analysis capabilities; however, it does not currently support understanding video or audio content.
Currently, users cannot change its nickname or use the Tencent "Yuanbao" logo as its avatar. It has a "memory" function, allowing users to search, forward, and clear chat history, but lacks features such as red envelopes, transfers, and location sharing. Additionally, the HarmonyOS WeChat 1.0.5 version does not currently support "Yuanbao".
