On April 23rd, Tencent HunYuan 3D generative model officially released version 2.5, marking a significant advancement of 3D generation technology into the ultra-high-definition era. This upgrade not only achieves a qualitative leap in modeling precision but also provides users with a more efficient and convenient creative experience, further lowering the barrier to entry for 3D content creation.

Technically, HunYuan 3D v2.5 significantly improves modeling precision, achieving an effective geometric resolution of 1024, upgrading from standard definition to high definition. The model architecture has also been comprehensively upgraded, with the total number of parameters increasing from 1B to 10B, and the number of effective polygons increasing by more than 10 times. This improvement results in smoother surfaces, sharper edges, and richer details in the generated 3D models, significantly enhancing realism and texture. Furthermore, HunYuan 3D v2.5 supports 4K high-definition textures and fine-grained bump mapping to simulate the visual effects of surface undulations, and it's the first to achieve multi-view input generation of PBR models, making the lighting, reflection, and other effects of objects closer to reality.

This upgrade not only achieves technological breakthroughs but also brings tangible benefits to users. The HunYuan 3D AI creation engine is fully updated to the v2.5 model base, and the free generation quota is doubled to 20 times per day. This move will attract more creators to try and use the HunYuan 3D generative model, further promoting the popularization of 3D content creation. In addition, the HunYuan 3D generation API has been officially launched on Tencent Cloud, open to enterprises and developers, providing strong technical support for enterprise-level applications.
