On April 27th, two leading AI companies affiliated with Tsinghua University, Zhipu.AI (Z.ai) and Shengshu Technology (shengshu.com), announced a significant strategic partnership. This collaboration aims to leverage their combined expertise in large language models and multi-modal generative models to drive innovation and industrial application of domestically developed large models.
The collaboration between Zhipu.AI and Shengshu Technology encompasses joint research and development, product integration, solution consolidation, and industry synergy. In terms of product collaboration, Zhipu.AI's MaaS platform will integrate Shengshu Technology's Vidu API, incorporating Vidu's video generation capabilities to serve a wider range of developers and enterprise clients. Regarding solution integration, both parties will leverage their respective technological strengths to create more competitive technical solutions for key industries. Furthermore, in terms of industry synergy, both parties will focus on vertical sectors such as government and enterprise services, the internet, cultural tourism, advertising and marketing, animation and film, and broadcasting and media, jointly building AI innovative applications that meet diverse industry needs and promoting large-scale technological implementation in key sectors.
In joint research and development, Zhipu.AI's independently developed GLM series of large models boasts leading technology in language and multi-modal models, with its open-source video generation model CogVideoX garnering over 10,000 stars on GitHub. Shengshu Technology focuses on the independent research and development of multi-modal general large models, providing leading video generation and multi-modal generation products. This collaboration will leverage both parties' accumulated expertise in the multi-modal field to further enhance the comprehensive strength and leading position of domestically developed large models, promoting the healthy innovation and prosperous development of the domestic large model industry ecosystem.
