Moon's Hidden Side recently unveiled Moonshot AI, the world's first large model capable of handling input lengths of up to 200,000 characters, along with Kimi Chat, an intelligent chat tool equipped with this model. Yang Zhilin, the founder of Moonshot AI, studied AI at CMU and is considered one of the candidates for China's "OpenAI". Compared to other models, Moonshot AI has achieved a breakthrough in long text processing through optimizations in storage, computing power, and more, marking the advent of generative AI into the era of long text understanding. By avoiding shortcuts like the "whale model", "bee model", and "tadpole model", Moonshot AI truly understands long texts. The plan is to introduce multimodal capabilities next year, further expanding the application boundaries.
