Recently, the Open Biomedical Imaging Archive (OBIA), established by the Institute of Genomics at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, has been opened to the public. This marks China's first open repository for biomedical imaging and related clinical data. OBIA currently includes 937 patient cases and 1.93 million medical images from the 301 Hospital, covering 9 modalities and 30 anatomical sites. OBIA has implemented de-identification, management, and quality control of imaging data, offering users services such as browsing, searching, and downloading. The establishment of OBIA fills the gap in the open sharing of biomedical imaging data in China, helping to overcome the issue of data silos and promote the development and application of artificial intelligence technology based on medical imaging.
