G7 leaders plan to establish international artificial intelligence (AI) regulations by the end of the year to address the rapid development of AI technology. G7 member countries will adopt a coordinated approach known as the 'Hiroshima AI Process' to jointly develop guidelines and codes of conduct at the United Nations Internet Governance Forum, including regulations for advanced AI systems such as generative AI. Prime Minister Kishida calls for wide-ranging stakeholder involvement to promote the dissemination of reliable information and encourages the development of additional technologies that can verify and confirm the sources and authenticity of AI-generated information. G7 member countries emphasize broad cooperation and stakeholder participation.
