Moonshot AI, founded by Professor Yang Zhilin of the School of交叉信息学院 at Tsinghua University, who is also the first author of papers such as XLNet, is a startup focused on large-scale models. The company recently announced the completion of its first round of financing, raising nearly 2 billion RMB, with investors including renowned institutions such as Sequoia Capital. Moonshot AI has also launched its first large-scale model product, Kimi Chat, which supports input of up to 200,000 Chinese characters. Through algorithmic innovations, Moonshot AI has achieved the practical application of large models in long-text scenarios. The company stated that it will continue to increase its investment in technology research and development, pushing large models into the era of L(Long)LLM, which supports even longer texts.
