The EVEscape AI tool, developed in collaboration between Harvard Medical School and the University of Oxford, is capable of accurately predicting viral mutations, including those of COVID-19, as well as identifying precursors to mutations and assessing the effectiveness of antibody therapies. This tool has also demonstrated potential in predicting the mutation trajectories of other viruses. The research team is currently using EVEscape in real-time to monitor COVID-19 and release lists of new variants, with plans to expand its application to include unstudied pathogens. This research provides valuable support for the design of future vaccines and therapies, ensuring their effectiveness in the face of constantly evolving viruses.
