The collaboration between NVIDIA and the University of Washington has achieved a breakthrough with the successful development of Humanoid Agents. These intelligent entities can convincingly simulate human emotions and behaviors, including basic needs and emotional responses. The research has introduced System 1 thinking, enabling the agents to adjust their activities based on emotions and needs, making interactions more human-like. These agents were created using OpenAI's ChatGPT-3.5, which updates plans according to changes in emotions and needs, enhancing the realism of interactions. The study also proposed the Social Brain Hypothesis, allowing agents to adjust interactions based on levels of intimacy. This research provides a valuable tool for deeper understanding of human behavior and offers new directions for future studies on intelligent entities.
