Recently, the global leading legal technology provider LexisNexis launched its fully available Lexis+ AI product, an artificial intelligence solution that leverages large language models for legal issue research, document generation, and case summarization. LexisNexis first revealed plans to launch Lexis+ AI in May last year, initially available for trial use in select law firms only. Lexis+ AI boasts four core functions: conversational search, document drafting, case summary generation, and document analysis. The product can link to authoritative legal citations, features a "no hallucination" characteristic, and allows users to flag citation errors. LexisNexis claims that Lexis+ AI enhances the speed, productivity, and quality of work for legal professionals. The product is now open for use to all customers in the United States.
