According to a report from Zhanchang Home, billionaire in the blockchain field, Jed McCaleb, has invested $500 million in purchasing 24,000 Nvidia H100 graphics processing units (GPUs) to support AI innovation. McCaleb acquired these chips through the nonprofit organization Navigation Fund and then transferred them to his subsidiary, Voltage Park, for operation and management, providing computing resources to startups and research institutions. With the increasing demand for GPU chips in AI, McCaleb's move is expected to alleviate the shortage of computing resources, enabling more entrepreneurs to participate in AI innovation.
