As reported by data.ai, the user spending on global generative AI applications reached a record high of over $125 million in the third quarter. Despite setting a new record for user spending and achieving a 9% sequential quarterly growth, the most significant growth phase for AIGC category applications actually occurred in the second quarter of 2023. In the second quarter, user spending in this category surged by 158%, expected to reach $114.7 million. Among these, the AI chatbot subcategory accounted for the majority of the generative application revenue, primarily through in-app subscriptions. Meanwhile, the revenue growth rate for AI art generator applications was relatively modest.
