IBM has announced the introduction of generative artificial intelligence into its top security information and event management (SIEM) product QRadar to address the challenges posed by the surge in cybercrime. Utilizing Watsonx's GenAI capabilities, IBM plans to automate tasks such as reporting, threat hunting, data interpretation, and organization, with a launch expected in the first quarter of 2024. This technological upgrade aims to alleviate the workload of security analysts, enabling them to focus more on critical tasks such as threat identification and response. The updates to QRadar also include integration with Red Hat Open.
