In mixed reality, the Microsoft Mixed Reality & AI Lab has unveiled the HMD-NeMo neural network model, which can generate realistic and accurate full-body movements even when only parts of the hands are visible. By employing a spatio-temporal encoder and adjustable temporal mask tokens, this model addresses the challenges of generating full-body movements in virtual reality. It outperforms existing methods in extensive evaluations, marking a significant advancement in generating full-body movements in virtual reality. HMD-NeMo has achieved notable success in versatility, performance metrics, and generalization capabilities, becoming a groundbreaking solution in the field.
