According to the "Engaging with Music 2023" survey conducted by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), people's attitudes towards artificial intelligence remain cautious. The survey involved 43,000 individuals across 26 countries, concluding that 76% of respondents believe "AI should not use artists' music or voices without permission," and 74% think "AI should not be used to clone or mimic artists without authorization." These findings may not come as a surprise, as most listeners might not have deeply considered the potential impact of AI on music before 2023. The CEO of IFPI calls on policymakers to "establish responsible and safe AI standards."
