This is an analysis article from the Silicon-based Research Lab regarding Meitu's AI strategy. The author believes that the reason for Meitu's recent surge in performance is due to its study and imitation of Adobe's successful model, adjusting both its product matrix and business model, and has now initially established the framework of a mature SaaS service provider. Meitu primarily targets the "communicator" segment of lightweight users, offering tools with high usability. In terms of its AI strategy, Meitu enhances the performance of its existing products using generative models, rather than delving into workflows as Adobe does. The internal challenge Meitu faces is to promptly capture changes in these users' usage habits and respond accordingly. To achieve industrial upgrading through AI, Meitu's options are limited; it either needs to enter upstream and downstream fields through mergers and acquisitions, or start by improving the ecosystem for long-tail users.
