At today's event themed "Making AI Ubiquitous," Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger unveiled the Intel Gaudi 3 series AI accelerators to the public for the first time. This tool, designed specifically for deep learning and the generation of large-scale AI models, is slated for release next year. According to Intel, the new Gaudi 3 AI accelerator, with its superior performance, competitive total cost of ownership, and pricing, is expected to capture a larger market share in 2024. Technologically, the new Gaudi 3 will adopt an advanced 5nm process technology, offering a 1.5-fold increase in bandwidth and a fourfold increase in BF16 power compared to its predecessor, the Gaudi 2 (7nm process technology), with a twofold increase in network computing power. Additionally, it will feature up to 128GB of HBM3e memory, significantly enhancing AI learning and training performance, and directly competing with NVIDIA's H200 accelerator card.
