The new research conducted by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology has found that the high costs associated with artificial intelligence technology may lead employers to be more inclined to retain their current employees. Even as the technology advances and the cost of deploying AI decreases, it will still take decades for the majority of companies to make the use of computer vision economically viable. MIT's study provides some relief to concerns about AI replacing jobs.
