Scientists have reconstructed Pink Floyd's song "Another Brick in the Wall" by eavesdropping on brainwaves. This marks the first time a recognizable song has been decoded from brain activity recordings. The study aims to help patients who struggle to communicate due to conditions like stroke or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis regain musicality in natural speech. The research team utilized artificial intelligence to decode the brainwave recordings of volunteers and successfully recreated the song's sound and lyrics. Although the sound was blurry, the phrase "All in all, it's just another brick in the wall" could be identified in the reconstructed song. The study also found that using higher-density electrodes improved the quality of the reconstruction. The findings, published in *PLoS Biology*, confirmed new areas in the brain involved in rhythm perception and discovered that the right brain is more sensitive to music than the left. These results hold promise for the development of brain-computer interface technology and the application of music therapy.
