India's homegrown language version of ChatGPT—BharatGPT, is set to launch in April. This model, developed jointly by a company owned by India's richest man, Ambani, and eight Indian university research institutes, supports 11 Indian languages and covers multiple fields including healthcare, finance, and education. BharatGPT is dedicated to solving the complex language system issues in India and is expected to mark the strength of India's independent AI technology development once launched. Industry insiders believe this is a significant advancement for India to join the global AI technology competition.
