The AI-RAN Alliance has been established, combining artificial intelligence with wireless communication technologies. Qualcomm has released the Snapdragon X80 flagship 5G modem, enhancing data transmission speeds, coverage, and efficiency, supporting both 5G millimeter wave and sub-6 GHz frequency bands. The alliance has set up three working groups to conduct technical research and drive technological innovation. Qualcomm anticipates that commercial devices equipped with the X80 will be available in the second half of 2024.
