Mistral is considered the European counterpart to OpenAI and will provide LLM technology on Azure, as well as introduce a multilingual conversational assistant. Users have questioned whether Mistral's models are not open-sourced, and Elon Musk has questioned whether Microsoft is making them proprietary.
