Microsoft has recently entered into a collaboration plan with French company Mistral AI and has invested in it. Mistral AI was established in April 2023 and has already raised approximately $415 million. The company announced the launch of a new chatbot, Le Chat, similar to OpenAI's offerings. Microsoft's move indicates that they do not wish to rely solely on OpenAI, but are beginning to support Mistral. This action has also drawn the attention of regulatory bodies, and Microsoft may face an investigation under anti-competition laws as a result.
