Nanjing University recently announced the launch of its first comprehensive artificial intelligence (AI) general education core curriculum, which will be available to all incoming freshmen starting September 2024. The objectives of the curriculum include guiding students to understand the intelligent era correctly, solidifying their foundational knowledge in artificial intelligence, and fostering their ability to contemplate ethical issues. The curriculum structure comprises compulsory core courses, AI literacy courses, and courses that deeply integrate disciplines with artificial intelligence. Through this initiative, Nanjing University aims to cultivate students' innovative capabilities and entrepreneurial spirit in the future era of intelligent technology.
