On February 28, 2024, it was reported that Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg had arrived in South Korea. He plans to meet with the Samsung chairman and LG CEO to discuss collaborations in extended reality and artificial intelligence. Zuckerberg will also engage with South Korean XR startup leaders, meet with LG's CEO to discuss partnership on the next-generation Quest headset, and meet with Samsung's chairman to explore AI collaboration. It is anticipated that they will also discuss making Facebook the default application on Samsung smartphones. Meta is planning to launch the next-generation Quest Pro VR headset, in collaboration with South Korea's LG Group.
