According to IT House, the screenwriter of the 1989 American classic film "Road House" has recently sued Amazon, accusing it of infringing on copyright during the remake process. Screenwriter Lance Hill alleges that Amazon and MGM Studios used artificial intelligence to "clone" the voices of actors in the new version of the film. Hill has filed an application with the U.S. Copyright Office, requesting to reclaim the film's copyright when United Artists' claim expires in November 2023. Amazon Studios used artificial intelligence to "copy" the voices of actors involved in the film's remake in order to complete the project before the copyright deadline. Amazon denies the claim that it replaced or recreated actors' voices with AI.
