On November 20, 2023, the Alibaba DAMO Academy's medical AI team published research in the top international medical journal Nature Medicine, detailing the PANDA model's ability to identify early pancreatic cancer lesions through the combination of plain scan CT and AI. In Lishui, Zhejiang, Alibaba's medical AI multi-cancer early screening public welfare project was launched, assisting Lishui citizens in early detection of multiple cancers and diseases. Through clinical validation, PANDA has enhanced the sensitivity of pancreatic cancer identification, improved the efficiency of cancer screening, and also improved the prognosis for cancer patients. Nature Medicine magazine praised PANDA for its high sensitivity and convenience.
