ZeroOneAI has announced the open-source release of the Yi-9B model, which is the most powerful in the Yi series in terms of code and mathematical capabilities, with actual parameters of 8.8 billion and a default context length of 4K tokens. The Yi-9B excels in comprehensive, coding, and mathematical abilities, outperforming other open-source models. Additionally, Yi-9B can be easily deployed on consumer-grade graphics cards, offering low operational costs and being developer-friendly. The company was founded by Kai-Fu Lee, Chairman and CEO of Sinovation Ventures. Prior to this, it had released two large open-source models, Yi-34B and Yi-6B, which are completely open for academic research and available for free commercial applications.
