Website Home (ChinaZ.com) June 14 News: Japanese startup Carelogy has partnered with Japan University to develop an app called "CatsMe!" This application leverages artificial intelligence (AI) technology to offer cat owners a novel way to understand and care for their beloved pets.
The core feature of the Carelogy App is the use of AI algorithms to analyze the behavior and sounds of cats to determine if they are in pain. The accuracy of this technology has exceeded 95%, and as the AI continues to recognize more cat faces and behaviors, this accuracy is expected to improve further.

The significance of this application lies not only in pain recognition but also in helping cat owners better understand and care for their pets. Professor Kazuya Eda of Japan University noted that while veterinarians can determine if an animal is in pain, this task is relatively difficult for ordinary cat owners. Therefore, the Carelogy App can serve as an important daily monitoring tool.
Statistics show that over 70% of elderly cats suffer from arthritis or other diseases, yet only 2% of them actually visit the hospital. Professor Eda said: "We prefer to use this application as a tool to help owners understand if everything is normal, rather than as a final diagnosis."
Mayumi Kitakata, a 57-year-old woman, has raised many pet cats over the years and currently has a 14-year-old cat named "Chi." To extend Chi's life as much as possible, she became an early user of this AI-driven pet care app in March of this year.
The development of the Carelogy App not only provides new solutions for the health care of cats but also strengthens the bond between pet owners and their beloved pets. Through AI technology, this application enables cat owners to better understand their pets' needs, promptly identify and address potential issues, thereby enhancing the quality of life for their pets.
