Xiaohongshu influencer "Antenna Sister (Underwear King)" recently shared an unusual experience where she discovered that the artist she commissioned for her original character artwork was using AI technology. This revelation sparked widespread attention and discussion on social media, with the video quickly garnering 29,000 likes on Xiaohongshu.

The incident began when the influencer grew suspicious of the quality of the received artwork, feeling that it "looked a bit like AI-generated." To verify her suspicions, she requested the artist to provide line drawings and sketches as proof. However, the artist cited not being informed in advance and personal work habits as reasons for being unable to provide these materials. More shockingly, the artist's attempt to prove their "innocence" by providing a work-in-progress drawing was ultimately exposed by the influencer using an image recognition feature, revealing it to be a stolen image from the internet.

This incident highlights the increasing realism of AI-generated artwork, making it difficult for the human eye to distinguish between works by human artists and AI. In the comments section, many netizens expressed that with the rapid development of AI technology, it is becoming increasingly challenging to discern whether an image is AI-generated.

The rapid advancement of AI-generated image technology poses dual challenges of copyright and authenticity to the content ecosystem on social media. There have been instances of AI-generated artworks being passed off as personal creations, such as the previously exposed "AI Trio"造假 event. Additionally, there have been cases of infringement involving the theft of others' AI-generated creative works.
